8/20/2013 - Paola Cortellesi won the award Cariddi
The actress Paola Cortellesi won the first edition of the "The Cariddi- Italian National Syndicate of Film Critics." This award will be given annually during the Venice International Film Festival to an actor, author, professional international cinema whose career path represents a particularly significant and prestigious, the horizon of contemporary cinema. The award, created by the Maestro Gerardo Sacco, is the brainchild of the Editorial Director of the Festival, Mario Sesti and General Manager, Tiziana Rocca, in agreement with the mayor of Taormina, Eligio Giardina and the Committee of Taormina Arte, so that the National Syndicate of film Critics and the Festival can work together both in Taormina to Venice, to build high-value initiatives to promote, distribute and transmit the culture of cinema. The Cortellesi receive the Cariddi Critics next Thursday, September 5 during the famous international film festival.
