Send your screeners now for consideration at the 55th Taormina Film Fest, taking place in Sicily from June 13th to 20th, 2009.
We are now accepting films for selection in the following categories:
Mediterranea Competition (Golden Tauro and jury awards): A selection of 8 films produced in the Mediterranean region will compete for Best Film, to be assigned by the official jury. The winner will receive the Golden Tauro during the closing ceremony. Other awards to be assigned are Best Director, Best Performance and Special Jury Prize.
Beyond the Mediterranean Competition: (Audience Award): A selection of 8 films produced in countries outside the Mediterranean region will be screened, competing for the Audience Award.
Sicilian Short Film Competition N.I.C.E. Award for Best Sicilian short feature film. The winner will be guaranteed a place in the New Italian Cinema Events program in the USA, Russia and Holland.
Grande Cinema at the Teatro Antico: Every evening, for 8 evenings, a film or event aimed at large audiences will be presented out of competition.
