Who comes from the peninsula by car, can reach Taormina taking the motorway from Messina to Catania (the way out in Taormina).
Taormina can be also reach by train (railway station Villagonia about 8 kilometers from the city centre) and by plane (airport Fontanarossa in Catania about 50 kilometers).
From the airport in Catania, Taormina can be reached in one hour by taxi (Radio Taxi tel. 095 330966; night service 095 386794) by bus (through motorway Sais-Interbus or Etna Trasporti tel. 095 532716, each hour from 8.30 a.m. till 8.30 p.m.) in mini-bus (from the airport to the railway station in Catania centre each twenty minutes, from 5.00 a.m. till 12.00.p.m.) and from the city centre of Catania to Taormina by bus or by train.
From the railway station Villagonia Taormina can be reached by taxi (tel. 0942 51150 or 0942 23000) by bus ( tel. 0942 625301 each half an hour from 7.00 a.m. till 9.00 p.m.).
