ItaliaFilmFest®
Rome, Casa del Cinema, Festival: May 30 – June 4, 2005
Taormina, Greek Theater, Award Ceremony: June 12, 2005

ItaliaFilmFest is a yearly event that – as from 2005 – will be entirely dedicated to cinema. The event is split between two cities: the true festival takes place in Rome, at the “Casa del Cinema”, this year from May 30th to June 4th, while the award ceremony, broadcasted by the national network RAI, is given hospitality at the Greek Theater of Taormina, on June 12th, on occasion of the Taormina BNL FilmFest 2005 (TFF). Creator and director of the event is Felice Laudadio (also director of the TFF and the “Casa del Cinema”), assisted by
Lorenza Micarelli, Francesca Nigro, Francesca Pappalardo,
Boris Sollazzo, Carlo Lanfranchi and Giampiero Tulelli.

ItaliaFilmFest is tightly connected, through its jury, to the Fellini Award 2005 for Cinematographic Excellence conferred to – in agreement with Francesca Fabbri Fellini, the heir of the Master from Rimini – the great Swedish director Ingmar Bergman who delegated actress and director Liv Ullman to collect it.
The Fellini Award was bestowed at the “Casa del Cinema” on June 4th at the end of the screening of the 15 Italian films in competition chosen by a restricted committee of critics and experts of Italian cinema made up of
Paolo D’Agostini (La Repubblica), Fabio Ferzetti (Il Messaggero),
Maurizio Porro (Corriere della Sera).

The jury of ItaliaFilmFest and of the Fellini Award 2005 consists of:
Massimo Cristaldi, Mario Monicelli, Suso Cecchi D’Amico, Tonino Guerra,
Luca Magnani, Giovanna Gravina Volonté, Ennio Morricone, Giuseppe Rotunno, Dante Ferretti, Roberto Perpignani, Piero Tosi and Vittorio De Seta, president Felice Laudadio, coordinator Silvia D’Amico.
