Confirming the prestigious tradition started in 1947 with the supplying of accessories to the stars of Hollywood, the Maison Harry Winston strengthens its fellowship with the world of the cinema and takes part in the 49th Taormina BNL FilmFest, from the 7th to the 14th of June.
The Maison will supply its precious watches as official prize of the festival, the Taormina Arte Award for Cinematic Excellence, that every night at the Greek Theatre will be given to world-famous representatives of the cinema, keeping the precious link that the Maison created during the years.
The sentence the Marylin said in the film "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" is by now famous; she asked him to tell her every secret about diamonds. And who can't remember the wonderful diamond that embellished the engagement ring given to Liz Taylor by Richard Burton? From them it received its name: the diamond Burton-Taylor.
Within the splendid setting of the Greek Theatre, the 49th BNL Taormina FilmFest, arranged by Taormina Arte with the support of Regione Siciliana and of the Ministry for Arts and Culture, will see important persons of international cinema awarded with Harry Winston watches. The festival will end on Saturday 14th with the giving of the Nastri d'Argento for the Italian cinema promoted by the National Syndicate of Cinematographic Journalists.
