:: PLOT

Stuart Shepard is a New York publicist who doesn't have a lot of friends outside of work. He lies to his wife, cheats on her, cheats his friends, and lives selfishly ever day - until now. Answering a phone in an empty phone booth, he ends up being involved in the unexpected: the man on the other end of the line is aiming a rifle at him. With his life on the line, Stuart can't hang up the phone, can't leave the phone booth, and must fix the wrongs of his life, or bang bang, he's dead.

:: BIOGRAPHY

Joel Schumacher was born and raised in New York City, where he studied design and display at the Parsons School of Design. He began his career in the entertainment industry as an art director for television commercials before becoming costume designer for important films as Woody Allen’s Sleeper and Interiors, Herbert Ross’s The Last of Sheila, and Paul Mazursky’s Blume in Love. Schumacher made his directing debut with the television movie The Virginia Hill Story. The Incredible Shrinking Woman, marked his feature film directing debut, followed by D.C. Cab. In 1995, he directed Batman Forever followed by its successful sequel, Batman and Robin. Before Batman Forever, Schumacher directed the critically-acclaimed hit film version of the John Grisham novel, The Client. More recently he directed the highly successful adaptation of another Grisham novel, A Time to Kill and the thriller 8 mm, starring Nicholas Cage. His last features are Flawless and Tigerland.
