I sogni nel mirino is the result of a capillary, methodical, and extremely complex operation that began more than a year ago with the intention of describing Sergio Leone in all his aspects, not only as a Maestro of cinema and great artist.
An incredible series of documents and interviews, never seen before, footage, drawings, Super 8 films, and direct testimonies, are here put together to create a mosaic of voices and images that reveal the personality and geniality of Leone but even his weaknesses, defects, and the traits of a personality that only friends, relatives and tight collaborators knew well.
This way we get the possibility to relive from the inside the highlights of his road to success, talking about his films and technique but also of his activity as a producer and director of commercials, of the impact of his work on the world, his sense of humour, the importance he gave friendship and family. It's a breathless race, with moments of true fun and touching emotions.
Celebrities like Ennio Morricone, Carlo Verdone, Giuliano Montaldo, Robert de Niro, Eli Wallach, Carlos Aguilar, Sir Christopher Frayling, and others, mix with technicians and creative masterminds that collaborated with the great artist.
