::: A tribute to Sergio Leone :::

Many the events organised by the Taormina Bnl Film Fest paying homage to the art of Sergio Leone. First of all, the tribute comprehends a retrospective realised in collaboration with the Leone family, Alberto Grimaldi, and supported by the National Film School-Cineteca Nazionale. Besides, there will be an important International convention dedicated to the artist with the participation of some friends and collaborators of his, arriving from all over the world.
Giuliano Gemma made a sculpture that will be presented to Eli Wallach and to Carlo Verdone as Leone Award.
On the Festival's inaugural night, the Diamond Award-winning Ennio Morricone, who wrote so many pieces of music for Leone's films, conducted a concert. In addition, some videos will be also shown, and two publications presented (one is a book collecting photos by Roberto Granata, and the other is an essay written by Christopher Frayling). An exhibition prepared by Maimone is displayed at the Church del Carmine.
