We are looking forward to welcoming you all again to the next edition of the Taormina BNL Film Festival, which is going to take place from the 7th to the 14st of June 2003 , and the guest of honour will hopefully be Martin Scorsese. During the final press conference, released by the festival's artistic director Felice Laudadio, great news has been announced concerning the next year's edition, and also a very positive final balance has been drafted. Cinema Stream dedicated a daily exhaustive broadcast to the Festival's events, presented by Mario Lanza. Also a daily window onto the Taormina Bnl Film Fest was accessible on RaiMed, the satellite channel for the Mediterranean, which is available in Italian and Arabic

The homage to Sergio Leone will be completed with an exhibition of scenarios, drawings, memorabilia, pictures taken from the various sets of his films, put together by Roberto Granata and accompanied by a photo-book from the same author. Also will be presented the Italian edition of the most important and imposing (more than 500 pages) volume about the cinema of Leone, written by Christopher Frayling and published by the
Castoro Cinema editions in collaboration with the Taormina-BNL FilmFest. [link...]

:: NASTRI D'ARGENTO AWARD: Four prizes won by "L'ora di religione"

Four Nastri Awards toL’ora di religione by Marco Bellocchio.
Awards also to “Il più bel giorno della mia vita” by Cristina Comencini and to Fandango. Robert Altman was conferred the prize as director of the best foreign film, and the award for
the best emerging director of the year to Paolo Sorrentino and his
“L’uomo in più”. Valeria Golino and Sergio Castellitto
won the Nastri Awards for best protagonist actress and actor, whereas Margherita Buy, Sandra Ceccarelli, Virna Lisi
