COMPETITION RULES

Filmoteca regionale siciliana (the Film and Video Archive of the Assessorato ai Beni culturali of Regione Siciliana, directed by Alessandro Rais) is in charge of the artistic responsibility for the new competitive section of the Taormina Film Festival (July 6th through 13th, 2002), expecially dedicated to short films.
With "I corti a Taormina" (Taormina Short Films), the Taormina BNL Film Festival will now award two different Prizes:
- The BNL International Short Film Award (endowed with Euro 10.330,00, corresponding approx. to 9.193 US$) for filmmakers from all over the world.
- The BNL "I Siciliani" Award (endowed as well with Euro 10.330,00, corresponding approx. to 9.193 US$) only for filmmakers born or living in Sicily.
The competition is on behalf of the Filmoteca regionale siciliana which will be charged of the selection for both the competitions, and organised by the cultural association Visionaria. The deadline for the submissions is on April the 30th, 2002.
